Which brand sells the best softball bats, product and price wise?
Written by on September 10, 2008 – 8:01 am -I just need to know who sells a good softball bat that has alot of “pop” and can keep that “pop” for a long time. I’m looking to spend $150 and down. So basically, who is the Honda for softball bats?

good question…demarini is probably the rolls royce of bats, along with Miken. I would check eastbay.com, they have some cheap bats made by Worth or Mizuno. But in general, softball bats seem expensive…usually around $250.

First of all do you need a slow pitch bat? If so the ASA bats are a little cheaper to buy than the other league bats.A good place to look is Kelly’s ultimate sports he reviews different bats that are out there. The composite bats will cost you more than double or single wall bats, there are some good double wall bats out there like the Dimarini 375 I have used it during league play and have hit balls out of a 300 ft park, the bat is made for low compression softballs.Hope this has helped.also you may have to spend a little bit more to get a good bat.I just bought the Worth Mayhem 98 2006 model for 180.00,try to find 2006 models some of them have a reduced price tag.

Eastbay is a good source for softball bats. I like the Worth EST series. At one time (2-4 years ago) those were awesome bats. Good pop, durable, and afforadable.

The DeMarini Vexxum is one of the top bats around. It may be a little expensive, but it is worth it. I myself play Babe Ruth, but they also make Softball bats as well. The thick barrel and smooth swing makes it a deadly bat and adds a LOT of power. I hit the ball over 60 feet farther than i ever could on my first swing. These bats can be found at most places like Modells or Dicks Sporting Goods

Worth would probably be in the price range you are looking for. But I agree that DeMarini is probably the best. EastBay is definitely a good source to find a bat. Be careful to adhere to the rules that your league may have before purchasing a bat, some are considered illegal.

composite bats have the most pop. hell with that aluminum crap, it’s not worth your money. trust me i’ve bought too many. the composite ones are more expensive, but they’re worth the money. if you really want to save money though, sometimes you can but the previous year’s model for a cheaper price. they usually don’t change much more than the logo anyway, so you’ll still get a good bat. i would recommend easton’s synergy, tps catalyst, and yeah those rocket tech bats by anderson are amazing. our team just got one and i love it. hope you find something that’ll work out for you!

Demarini, Miken, Worth or Mizuno. Look for models that are from 2002 to 2005. Most of these bats will be reduced at this time. One thing make sure they are certified or re-certified for ASA, USSSA play.

Worth Mayhem has a lot of pop and you can find it relatively cheap.

the ONLY bat to use is the Worth Mayhem. get the RED bat. this is very important. as long as i’ve been playing men’s slowpitch, i’ve had warning track power. last season we picked up a new player and he had a RED Worth Mayhem and a Miken Freak. well i hit my first hr approx. 325 ft opposite field.
