Carol S asked:

I have three pairs of soccer cleats. I no longer play soccer but use the cleats for playing field hockey because they are both the same. I now play softball but don’t have cleats for it. Does soccer & softball use the same type of cleats?

they are similar but no, they are not the same. do you ever remeber lining up before a game and the referee asked everyone to put up a foot to “check cleats” he was checking to see if they were softball cleats, the only difference is that the softball cleats have a cleat in front dead center. soccer ones dont. they have two space apart by your outside toes. you can usually use soccer cleats for softball but dont have as good a grip, also most softball cleats are squared as opposed to the more round soccer ones, hope that helps

They are very similar, but not quite the same. I have used soccer cleats to play softball with, so they will work, but I prefer the softball cleats. They have the toe spike and give you more support around the ankle.
